Happy Kids Academy!

Delaware Stars for Early Success is Delaware’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) administered by the Delaware Department of Education. A QRIS is a method to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early care and education and school-age settings. The goal of Delaware Stars is to invest in participating programs to increase access to high quality care for all of Delaware’s children, especially those from low-income families.

Safety and Security

Happy Kids Academy is a licensed facility, meeting all health and safety codes as required.

SafetyWe have 24-hour surveillance cameras in all the classrooms, on the playgrounds, and parking lot. Happy Kids Academy has a comprehensive plan for caring for children during any possible emergency.

In addition to our security entry system, requiring a passcode, we require all children to be signed in and out. Teachers are required to do attendance three times a day, and the office does head count several times a day as well. There is also an authorized pick-up list for each child in the office. A photo ID is the only acceptable form of identification for authorized pick-ups. Children will not be released to anyone not on their pick-up list.

Emergency drills are required by Delaware law and are executed monthly.
